Academy Performance Review Committees (APRC) – (Local Tier of Governance)

Appointments to all Academy Performance Review Committees (APRC) are made by the Board of Trustees. The remit of the APRCs is explained in the APRC Terms of Reference and details of APRC terms of office for the relevant academies are provided on the ‘Register of Interests’ page.  Further governance information including where the APRCs fit into the overall governance structure can be found by exploring the governance menu.

  • Kirklees Academy Performance Review Committee+

    This Committee provides independent challenge to the academy leadership of the three founding academies in Kirklees (Engage Academy, Reach Academy and Ethos College), primarily in respect of pupil performance, the quality of the academy experience and the execution of the academy improvement plan.  It monitors academy performance in the following areas:

    • Safeguarding
    • Self-evaluation and school improvement
    • Pupil progress and outcomes
    • SEN and other vulnerable groups
    • Pupil Premium
    • Attendance
    • Staff and pupil wellbeing
    • Community and other stakeholder engagement
    • Risk
